So what are those rules about driving car like that on streets? If it's legal on russian streets, is it also legal here?

If it isn't legal to drive, then it's maybe easiest/cheapest to get trailer and attach it to normal street car.

Thanks Repa.

What I had in mind was that he should ask over there about these things, as I knew there is an international area.
I guess what I wrote wasn't clear enough, atleast for some people. :Smile

Thanks a lot everybody Wink

Thinking about moving this car to Finland, so not so clear for me following questions:
1. Do you guys register your drift cars as normal road cars, I mean do you need to put number plates on it and pass every year technical inspection?
2. If I would transport it only on trailer, do I need number plate and tech inspect ?
3. Where do you buy new and used tires? the cheapest place of course
4. Could you recommend me some place to repair my car (Service or drift teams)

Thanks! Smile

i think there are cheapest tires: http://www.reifendirekt.de/

for example:

205/40-17 = 36.80€
235/40-18 = 44.50€

much cheaper than rengas-online Wink

Message with zero information.

1. No. Pro drivers very rarely drive registrated cars because of the ridiculous amounts of taxes we need to pay to register a car. You don´t definitely want to register your car here.
2. No, you don´t need them.
3. Many places, pro drivers may give you better advice but one good place in Helsinki area is Autotek.
4. You propably might want to team up with some other driver to use their service. Although we do have a couple of companies specializing in race cars in Finland.

To drive in Finland best bet is to contact a pro driver from Vastaheitto.com and ask them about all the rules you need to fill before driving in a competition. People there are very helpful.

I wouldn't say that so straight. Pro drifting cars are quite heavily modified and therefore usually don't wear plates, but there are also "street legal" drifting cars with plates on. They may have mods like roll cages, diffs etc. but they're still legal in inspection. Not all but some of them.

WOW so much info, you guys are best! Thanks a lot

And could you transfer your drift cars abroad (Sweden, Latvia etc) if your car doesn't registered?
44 Euros for R18??? Nooo stop kidding, in Moscow the price is about 150-160Euro :'(

No problemm with transfeerin the cars to Sweden. It's actually even easier with test plates (KOE Kilvet, some of us have them from their company). In Estonia, Latvia etc. we just use trailers for getting the car to the track and back. In case of the trailer you have always a way to get a broken car back to the garage if something happens during the race.

I just answered to the question from Willys point of view. I´m sure he doesn´t care if someone has a street legal drifter but is interested in knowing if it is mandatory for all of us.

But fair point from Xenon.

KOE-plates can only be used by the company they are issued to. Once the car is in Finland there should be no problems transferring it to Sweden or any other EU-state. However, since Willy is coming outside the EU, there might be some customs issues. If the race car is registered to Russia it's simple, but if not, I'd guess ATA Carnet is needed to avoid customs duties.

ok, everything is more clear now, thanks a lot Wink
I have plans to move car here from Moscow, not permanently, but "forever". Because you have much more tracks and competitions, than in Moscow. And of course finish drivers are crazy, I can learn a lot from them Wink

What do you recommend me with engine? The main problem of this season was BROKEN ROCKERS. Im so tied of it. How do you solve such problem here? Maybe VET head?

This is weird. Some people break their rockers every now and then, and some people drive with same set year after year. People say that it depends a lot of what kind of rev limiter is used.
